This policy explains how Techgen LLC Pty Ltd (ACN 696 942 391), trading as FastBiz Loans ("we", "us", "our"), handles personal and business information when you use this website or enquire about business finance. We manage personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to understand your enquiry and help arrange business finance. That can include:
- your name, phone number, email address and role in the business;
- business details such as your ABN or ACN, business name, industry, trading history and monthly revenue;
- how much you want to borrow, what it's for and when you need it;
- identification documents;
- financial information such as business bank statements (including through a secure read-only digital link you authorise), financial statements and details of existing debts;
- credit information; and
- information about other people connected to the application, such as co-directors or guarantors.
Most information comes directly from you through our online enquiry form, by phone or by email. With your consent we may also obtain information from credit reporting bodies, bank statement and identity verification services, public registers (such as the Australian Business Register and ASIC), and professionals you nominate, such as your accountant.
How we use it
- to respond to your enquiry and talk with you about suitable finance options;
- to assess and arrange business finance, including passing your application to lenders on our panel;
- to verify your identity and the details you give us;
- to comply with our legal obligations;
- to run our business, keep records, handle complaints and improve our website and services; and
- to let you know about other business finance products that may suit you — you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
To arrange your finance we may share information with lenders and their funders, finance aggregators, credit reporting bodies, bank statement and identity verification providers, equipment suppliers (for equipment finance), professional advisers, our IT, software and service providers, and government bodies or regulators where the law requires it. Some providers may store data outside Australia; where that happens we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected.
Your consent
When you submit an enquiry or application, you consent to us collecting, using and sharing your personal and business information for the purposes described in this policy. That includes consent for us and relevant lenders to make the checks reasonably needed to assess your request — including verifying your identity, reviewing bank statements you authorise and obtaining credit information where required — and to contact you by phone, SMS and email about your enquiry.
If you give us information about someone else, such as a co-director or guarantor, you confirm you're authorised to do so and that you've told them about this policy.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. When we no longer need information for any lawful purpose, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you. To make a request or a privacy complaint, submit our online enquiry marked "Privacy request" with your contact details, and we'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
